Default Doctors, dentists, mechanics near Los Alamitos

We're moving to Los Alamitos at the end of March after living for 16 years in the San Gabriel Valley. I've had the same doctor, dentist and mechanic all that time, and my kids have had the same pediatrician since they were born. As excited as we are to move, replacing them is going to be really hard.

If anyone has recommendations for:

A family doc who actually listens to you.

A great pediatrician

A dentist

A chiropractor who is also good with kids.

A mechanic that is trustworthy. (The one I've had all this time is so trustworthy he tells you NOT to get things fixed if they don't need it.)

They don't have to be in Los Alamitos of course. Any surrounding area is fine. I wish I could just stay with who we have now, but I think if someone gets really sick that long drive will be too much.

Thanks in advance!

Chiropractor: Salvatore Plano in Buena Park. Been my chiropractor since I was a child. Great guy, great with kids, very knowledgeable.

Mechanic: Family has lived in the area for nearly 40 years, and we've been frequenting John's Mobile on Wardlow/Ball and Norwalk Blvd since the mid 80s for our mechanic work. The owner/mechanic and his partner ran the service dept at a Pontiac dealership in Bellflower many moons ago and are honest and inexpensive compared to dealers or brand name repair places. For radiator and air conditioning I go to Freddys Radiator on Pioneer and South Street in Artesia/Cerritos.

Dentist: My dentist is retiring this summer, or I'd recommend him. For orthodontia, Dr Russell Chang is well known in the community and does very good work

I have lived in Los Al for 12 years, my husband grew up here. I have four kids 10-19 so I am familiar with all the kid's doctors. Here are my suggestions:

Pediatric Dentist: Dr. Cortez(male)or Dr. Sanchez (female) of Pediatric Dental Specialists located in Long Beach about 10 min. from Los Al.
Adult/Child Dentist: Dr. Bernie Coffee in Los Alamitos
or Dr. Darby Kaiser (female) of Montage Dentistry in Los Alamitos. Both very good.
Pediatric Medical Center: All the doctors in this office are excellent and have superb reputations. They are all affiliated with Miller's Children Hospital which has a great reputation. My kids love Dr. Laurie Livingston. She is young, vibrant, and great with kids of all ages. I have three girls so finding good female doctors is always nice. All the doctors in this practice are great!

I would say don't go to Los Alamitos Hospital unless it is an emergency! Most people around here go to Long Beach Memorial, Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, or Children's Hospital of Orange County. If you have the option choose one of these hospitals. All are excellent.

Chiropratic: We go to my husband's friend who went to high school with him at LAHS. He has two girls in elementary school, so is great with kids and adults. His name is Dr. Ryan Blossey of Lampson Chiropratic in Garden Grove. It is only about 10 min from Los Al, on the border of Seal Beach.
Automotive: We use Norm's in Los Al as do most of our friends. I am sure there are others out there too.
Hope this helps!
