Default Recommendation for Reasonably Priced Vet Please

We have our first puppy, a ****zue, 5 months old and we live in Irvine. We currently have a wonderful vet but expensive. For example, fecal testing is $55, grooming $55, boarding $30 per day. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thank you very much.

I have a wonderful vet, Dr. Julie Stegeman, DVM, who has been treating my elderly lab for the past 5 years. She's been spot on with the diagnosis of my dog's complicated medical issues. The one time she was on leave between switching practices, my dog went to urgent care at the old practice and was misdiagnosed by the urgent care vet--that vet didn't spot the signs of pneumonia.

Dr. Stegeman is also sensitive to financial constraints and will work accordingly. As an aside, getting medications thru Costco is a huge cost saver for folks that have dogs on expensive meds. I have literally saved thousands by buying my doggie's meds Costco.

Unfortunately, I can't help out with a price comparison so you would have to call to compare prices. Without question I would bring my next dog or puppy to Dr. Stegeman:

I think every Vet in Irvine is too expensive, you're basically paying for their new building and pristine appearance, not better care for your pet.

I say screw all that and go to an older established area where the Vet has been working with clients for 20, 30 years.

We had an awesome Vet "All Creature Care Cottage" IN Costa Mesa

Compare @ these Prices:
Grooming 30
Boarding 17.50 a day

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but these are some nicest best qualified vets I have ever seen, these people care about your pet.
