Shes REALLLLLLLY good at getting pork for her district (her district is kind of the craphole of the county though, so they need all the help they can get).

I wish a republican represented her district; its not a strongly Democratic district so if she were to step down, a Republican could easily win with a strong campaign.

I think her sister is kind of trashy, but shes just a product of the trashy district she serves.

She's terrible and lucky that the districts are so screwed up on top of having an embattled republican in her spot beforehand. And that's not mentioning that she flipped parties and ditched her non-hispanic sounding married name to go after the Mexican vote after failing as a Republican

I was very impressed with her at first. She came to our house, introduced herself said that the was running and asked what she could do for us when she go to Washington. She listened, took notes, made some very well thought out points ont he issues that I raised (not canned responses but actual responses to issues that I selected), and went off to the neighbors. I was impressed with her. I supported her to the extent that I could (yard signs and some minor donation somewhere). During most of her first term, I think that she was a representative of the people that she represented. THen she got caught up in the whole power thing and does nothing but tow the party line. At some appearances, she is an embarassment. (Recollect the Huntinging Beach Parade a few years ago). In general I now veir her as a power hungry party hack and an frequent embarassmant. Too bad.

Maybe she was lawys that way and I was just misled. Maybe the power craze got to her after she got elected. Whatever the truth, it is too bad. I often wonder if there are any good politicians. SOme certinaly start out good, but then they slowly get corrupted by the system.

How long have you been on her staff? While what you say may have been true through part of her first term, now She fights for the rights and advancement of Loretta Sanchez. That is all

Despise her. I've always hated how she reverted back to her old name to get Hispanics to vote for her. It is a huge reason why she wins. Her politics are horrible. I do know that every year at the Strawberry Festival Parade my dad turns his back on her. Sure it's childish, but he despises her more than I do.

Loretta Sanchez beat an old long-time Republican hack, "B-1" Dornan, several years ago in a race that showed Orange county that it ain't the GOP stronghold it used to be. North Orange county is safely Democratic as the county's Republicans continue to lose members. Go Loretta!
