Default Know of +55 adult communities in OC?

Does anyone have any info on +55 communities in OC? I'm looking into a gated type private community in OC. Mobile homes are fine and I don't need a golf course.

Default Huntington Landmark

My parents live in Huntington Landmark, which is as you describe, a 55+, gated, retirement complex in Huntington Beach. Its located in the block of Atlanta, Magnolia, Newland & Indianapolis roads. I find it a lovely development with beautifully landscaped pool and tennis courts. They have a community building that hosts all kinds of activites: wood workshop, computer room, small library, handicrafts, games like dominoes, and more. There are condos and townhomes. I believe they're priced 300 - 500, but not sure. I visit my parents there yearly and their neighbors are most friendly.

Look at Laguna Woods Village, one of the largest 55+ resort communities in the Southland. It is its own city (called Laguna Woods) with 16,000 residents all over 55. It has a golf course, tons of clubhouses (with pools, lounges, tennis courts gyms, etc..), a shuttle to shopping plazas and the mall, an adjacent hospital, and tons of activities such as trips to local Indian casinos, games, crafts, workout groups, gardening groups, etc....

I usually hear very positive things from its residents, although I have never been in its gates.

I have. It's very quiet in there, and neat as a pin.
