Are there any Black folks in Orange County?
I'm curious to find out if there are Black folks who reside in Orange County? Never been there but it's always depicted as a Lilly White community and I'd just like to find out if that is true. Thanks!

Nope. Not a one. They're not allowed to be in the county unless they're shining somebody's shoes or cleaning somebody's house.

Orange County isn't exactly "lily white". That is probably more so with South Orange County. Orange County has sizable Latino, Asian and Persian populations. But, yes there really isn't a sizable African-American community in Orange County.

golly, I haven't heard African Americans called "black folks" in a long, long, time.
Yes, there are blacks in O.C. not as many as in so Central L.A or Compton or any part of L.A. county for that matter, but almost everywhere not days have all ethnic, religious and race groups.

There are black people in OC. My supervisor when I worked for the County is of African decent. There were majority Hispanic people working there, but Asian, white, black...
There are numerous ethnic groups represented including Irish, Indian, the list goes on. I think people just keep more to their neighborhoods as the neighborhoods are a bit more segregated...not in a bad way, just by what is around and where the jobs are, etc.

There are a few black families in OC. Santa Ana used to have a black history parade, but they changed it to celebrate diversity parade (or something simlar) becuase they could not get enough black people from Orange County (they had to bring people in from LA county).
I lived in Orange County for 18 years and I was very active. I met less than a dozen black people who lived in OC. Citydata can probably give you percentages.
