Default Fingerprinting in South OC

Does anyone know where to get traditional fingerprints taken? I've called most of the police departments nearby and they have all changed to the Live Scan system and don't offer fingerprinting (unless I've committed a crime!). I need to find a place that is authorized to take regular fingerprints on a fingerprint card, not electronically. Thanks!

Try a notary. Look int he telephone book under Notary. I cannot remember if they need some special certification to do fingerprinting, or if all fo them do it. Call and ask before you go to one.

I'm a Notary myself and Notaries are not authorized to take fingerprints. You have to go through special certification to obtain your license as a LiveScan tech. As far as I know electronic submission is the way prints are done now, period. We have a Notary business and I know that the Secretary of State requires an electronic LiveScan for background checks through the DOJ and FBI. Any specific reason you are looking to have traditional prints taken instead? I'm not sure what to suggest, sorry.

I needed traditional prints b/c I was applying for a teaching credential in a state that doesn't do Livescan yet. I ended up getting them done in Aliso Viejo at the police station there.
