It used to be that the neighborhoods on Haster north of Chapman were pretty decent.
But that ended in the 1990's.
The area around Lampson wasn't bad either. Too bad it's gone to hell, too.
Totally agree with the area next to the border with Westminster. The major streets in that area are kinda dodgy.
I'm not sure any of the apartment complexes in GG are really viable anymore.
We used to call it Garbage Gulch.

With three kids are you looking at a three bedroom? If so, I don't know of many in the city. There are some at Emerald Ridge. It's by Garden Grove High School. I used to live thre. They are safe, but they seem to always have management issues. Next to them is Lampson Village. They don't have any threes, but I believe the two bedrooms are supposed to be pretty big. They are also a lot cheaper than Emerald Ridge. Also, you may be able to find someone renting a condo. That would be an option. Wait, that's a West Garden Grove zip? These are in central Garden Grove. Not as snooty as West, but the area is safe. West Garden Grove is mostly single family homes as far as I remember.

Hi.. what about the 92840 and 92844 zip. We are going to see some condos in those zip codes. We are concern about the schools too. We have a 2 years old boy so we are looking for a safe place to race our child. Thanks.

Because it doesn't feature cookie cutter houses built since 1999 or so.
And because OC people are racist and there is a little too much color in Garden Grove.
Basically its not the greatest area of OC, but in Los Angeles County it would probably be considered quite nice.
Its no big deal, and you should be just fine living there.

Do you speak Korean, Vietnamese or Spanish? If so your kids will fit in the public schools in Garden Grove.

" cookie cutter houses built in 1999 or so" ????? The homes in North OC were built in 1955 to 1979. The only new homes built were the tear downs the Asians did so they could put multiple families in them. They tower over the cookie cutter homes built in the late 1950's early 60's.
