"When asking questions about a location, give as much detail as you can, so we can zero in on the info you need. If house hunting, what is your price level or rental amount. How many BR's, Baths, square feet, lot size, etc, do you need? Pets? SFH, TH, Condo, mobile home? In-town, rural, college town, military town, mountains? Schools for children? Gated community, golf course community, active senior community? Do you need to stable a horse? Is there an RV or boat trailer to consider? The more you tell us, the sooner our regular posters can reply with specificity. Same for any other criteria you have. Please avoid open-ended requests like

"I'm moving to your city, tell me EVERYTHING I need to know.""

Whats it like to you top live in Orange County
-> Its like everywhere else and nothing else and mostly driven by perception, background, cultural make up, desires and personal taste.

Whats the weather like
-> Go to weatherunderground and you can see what its annual temps are. Generally speaking, pleasant with no winter to speak of.

What are the people like?
-> Like any large area, you get a mix of just about anything.

Do the locals think that because they got there first they are somewhat better than those who moved in a day latter?
-> Native Californians are not as abundant as the overall population might suggest. I think you'd generally find people thinking they're better than you because either you think they are or they do. Either way, would this really keep you up at night?

Are there GANGS
-> Yes...don't they exist everywhere.

What kind of person do you think would like living in Orange County
-> Former presidents, honest and corrupt Executives, working class family, white collar, blue collar, black, white, yellow, homeless...

What are the best outdoor things to do
-> Just about anything.

Is everyone rich or would Bad Credit Auto Financing
-> There are border patrols who check your bank statements upon entering. This is standard practice. I'm surprised you haven't read about this on the news?

You don't live in OC. You live in a city in OC and your experience will depend on which city. OC is a place on TV.

Agree. There is no "Orange County" culture. There are city or sub-area cultures within Orange County. There honestly isn't that much in common between a lifestyle in Buena Park to Laguna Niguel or a lifestyle in Seal Beach to Anaheim Hills. There are some similarities in certain areas like southern Orange County, coastal Orange County, central Orange County, north east, etc... But the county as an entire WHOLE is basically going so far as to say what is ALL of Southern California like.

NO "THE OC" IS THE TV MOVIE not OC. OC is the initials for Orange County when we don't want to type unnecessary letters. To each his own.

whats the weather like

warm to hot. Winters sometimes get down into the high 40s during the day. Some nights even get into the 30s occaisioanlly. It might snow once every 25 years or so. Mostly it is warm

what are the people like?

Taste like chicken.

What is it that you want to know?

What do they look like? Everyone looks like ken and barbie. Just like you see on t.v.

What do they act like? Everyone is completely nuts. The whole place is a looney bin

do the locals think that because they got there first they are somewhat better than those who moved in a day latter?

Yes some do. There are a lot of funny bumper stickers for locals to buy. Unfortunately there are very few "locals" to buy them. If they were born in oc, their parents probably were not.

Are there gangs

define "gang" if you mean loosely organized criminal activity groups of 10,000 members or more, then the answer is a few. If you mean a group of youngish people hanging out together and doing bad things occaisioanlly the answer is thousands.

What kind of person do you think would like living in orange county

imo people between the ages of 20 and about 35 will like most parts of oc best. However there are a lot of older people too. You hear more fantansy land comments from the 20-25 age groups and more complaints fromt eh olrder groups so i suspect the the younger crowd likes oc better.

What are the best outdoor things to do

beach things. Mountain things. The only thing that you do not have is lakes, rivers (with water in them) and forests. It is pretty much a scrub desert so you may have to limit some outdoor activities in the summer due to heat and sun, but almost any ourdoor activity is available if you are willing to travel a few miles (translated to an hour to several hours of driving).

Is everyone rich or would bad credit auto financing

what is rich? If you are a kentuckyian who thinks that $50k a year is rich, then yes, pretty much everyone is rich. A single person can live decently if renting with a roommate on $50,00 to $70,000 a year. A family can squeak by on $150,000 a year.

However there are exceptions. Loads of people live on minumum wage jobs. They just share a 2 br house with 12 other people.

Thanks raccas
you are welcome.
