I live west of the OC and I hear people complain that OC has zero tolerance for black male/white female couples.

I disagree, but plenty here will agree. I think all that really means is that there are places in OC where it could be a problem and places where it won't be a problem. As I tend to hang out in the beach cities, inland, and in western OC, I'd like to say that you won't have much of a problem in those areas.

In my opinion, the only widely accepted interracial relationship in OC would be Asian/White. This is coming from a White Hispanic/Dark Hispanic married couple who lived in OC for 2 years.

Of course there are pockets of tolerance like Fullerton for example. But for the most part, people are going to stare at you and vibe you both with disapproval, especially the white female. One way I can see you getting away with this in OC, is for the Black guy to act totally White, that might get you gradual acceptance over time.

For example this guy could date a white girl in OC:

Everywhere else in California a non-Latino White/Latino(a) couple wouldn't raise an eyebrow. Given my knowledge of OC I think a non-Latino white male/Latina female is as acceptable as a white male/Asian female couple, but OC wouldn't accept any other interracial relationships - (although Kobe Bryant has a white Latina wife and lives in OC - perhaps money and celebrity make interracial pairings more acceptable?)

we know/knew seveal black white couples who had no problems. Most of them were in Orange. Maybe in some of the all white areas or all hispanic areas there would be more problems.

Didn't really know thought mostly white/asian. Thought only few places that think of. By latino you mean ones more white or less other than that?

Orange County is one of the more conservative counties in the state, although most of the residents tend to be well-off from an economic standpoint. So you don't have to worry about personal safety, but you'll get lots of disapproving looks and perhaps the occasional comment. As a whole, people here like to glare but not actually have the "courage" to say something or challenge you.

I am white and my wife is Asian we live in Irvine but as other posters mentioned, there are a number of white/asian couples in south OC so it seems to be well accepted. If people single us out or treat us differently I've noticed it maybe twice in over 10 years and I'm pretty observant (not to say it hasn't happened behind our backs).

When I see a white and black couple together in my immediate area, I may take a subtle second look just because it's unique - so that could be misinterpreted, but I haven't noticed any signs of lack of tolerance for this. Honestly we're always on the lookout for interracial couples because we want to check out the kids, they're usually quite beautiful.
