I lived in these apts back in 1964 and have been trying to get some info on them. I have found articles about the rehab done a few years back and how the complex had declined. I have looked under apartments for rent and find nothing about them. Does anyone know the name of the complex? It sounds like they are now section 8 or subsidized housing. I am just curious since I lived there so long ago and would like to see how they have changed and what rent is now, etc.

Any suggestions of how to find info on these would be great.

The other area I lived was on Minnie St between Wilshire and Borchard, just a few blocks south of McFadden. They all look pretty run down from the aerial maps. I do not live in California anymore.

Both areas you mentioned are in horrible areas. I would not even drive through either area at night. (I hope I do not hurt anyone's feelings, this is my PERSONAL opinion). We moved from Bristol and Edinger in 1974 and this was close to both areas you mentioned. We had a beautiful open beam ceiling, hardwood floor, lath and plaster house. The gangs migrated to our area to do all their dirty deeds such as drug drops etc. We sold our house at a loss and this was during good economic times just to get out of the area with our toddler. This might be the reason you have been unable to find any information on your former residence.
