Will depend on how offset your commute is. If you can leave at 5AM then the morning drive probably won't be that bad. But even if you can leave at 2PM, there is traffic southbound on the 405, especially near LAX, La Cieniga, and different stretches between the 10 and the 110.
Two things you need to do, check google maps traffic, "traffic at time and day" for the times you expect to commute and also check
Sigalert.com - Personalized Traffic Reports during the times you expect to commute.
