My neighbors foreclosed :) (neighborhoods, place to live, move)

How could you possibly know this as a fact? You are stating your opinion and being judgmental. Perhaps they lost their jobs, perhaps the owner went into foreclosure and the tenants were evicted (this is happening ALL over OC right now), maybe the owner died and the lease was cancelled and forcing eviction due to estate sale. The only truth here is that they were evicted, for whatever reason, and you have no right to judge their finances. And I'm pretty sure if they had 10 people living there as you say, they could've managed a lease payment. Even Taco Bell wages x 10 = house payments!

I hope for your, and their, sakes that you have the brady bunch move in next door next time around...I'd hate to see what anger breeds in you...it would be nice to see neighbors being adults and talking things out, being considerate, and trying to resolve problems rather than harboring anger until it eats them alive. Community and friends, not possessions, drives happiness in people...I really feel that this concept has been lost to most of OC over the past 10 wealthier years. For those who have lived here before the 90s...don't you remember how it used to be? The biggest mistake in life, it has been argued, is to forget where you came from.

Ok now it is because I never have been to OC. Yup, thats it I would just waste my time making things up and saying I lived there because I really didn't. Right? Believe what you want to believe ZhugeLiang. I would give you several people to call to verify my residency is Southern Cal, but it wouldn't be safe doing so.. I would never give them your number or vice-versa. I have given enough valid information here and others have agreed and verified it. So go ahead live in denial and enjoy where you live. I am glad you enjoy it, I really am, but not everyone does or has enjoyed being there. We have our right to warn other people asking questions about it. And if this constant bickering is any indication of what goes on with the diversity in OC it even vindicates my point even further... Thank you for making my point and stating my cause here....

Which is usually the case. I saw this happen to houses in our neighborhood in Orange too. According to our real estate agent back in 2005, these houses usually had several (3, 4, 5, 6...) people on the title and all went in to buy a house and then crowd it with multiple families. They did the same in our condo complex, and we had two families (4 adults 6 kids, plus others now and then) all above us in a 2 bdr. condo.

There are laws on how many people you can have per bedroom, but I couldn't get the city to enforce it at all. Part of the problem is the mortgage companies - if they'd never been allowed to put 6 people with no credit ratings and cash only incomes on one title with nothing down, these overcrowding situations wouldn't have happened, and housing prices wouldn't have gone so high in OC (not blaming the high prices solely on overcrowding, but on mortgages being offered to people who couldn't afford them) Anyway, those people who lived above us are long gone, and the condo is now empty (foreclosed). Who'd have seen this coming? Well, I did, and we got out in 2005 when the gettin' out was good.

And for all to see, and for those to consider moving here, I hope you see the ratio of rational and irrational, selfish people on these forums...it is about the same as the percentage in the neighborhoods! This should definitely help you to understand what you are getting yourself into...but I must say, most of the sane people in OC are leaving...so soon that 15 bad to 3 good ratio might be more like 15-1...I think browsing this forum offers invaluable insight to anyone trying to get a real glimpse into the residents of this area!

Hmm proof that I live here...well I can see the marine layer coming in over the hills of Laguna Niguel right now...can you? Where is your PROOF of living here? See...this is how irrational people think...always trying to put others on the defensive so they can avoid being noticed for their extreme shortcomings. For those who are intelligent, I don't think you'll have to read very far in these forums to see who is honest and who is just angry to be alive...and it definitely doesn't seem the right people are being accused - almost feels like the Salem witch trials in this forum! LOL

I dont understand why you are standing up for these people who go into foreclosure that ruined our neighborhoods to begin with.

you are right on and hopefully people looking at this forum will realize that if it is this bad online it is worse living there. This is part of why I left. You can't work things out with someone who doesn't speak English and the problems with mixed races is totally un-nerving to say the least. Heck.. you can't even be a blonde anymore in Southern Cal... Remember the good old Beach Boy songs? What happened to that California that we all loved? Very sad to say the least... How times have changed from the beautiful Orange groves and the beauty of that area..
