My neighbors foreclosed :)
I had these really bad neighbors. They moved in a couple years back. First it started with 4 people. Then they moved in about 10 other people. They moved so many people that their 4 bedrooms were not enough so they converted the garage to a bedroom. They had about 5 kids all of which played outside ALL day until about 10pm then they went inside. There was constant screaming.
They also ran a home construction business out of the garage so when they first moved in they would be spray painting cabinets and doors on their lawn. The fumes were very strong. After the housing market fell off a cliff, that little business fell off a cliff as well. Thank god.
They also had about 10 large vehicles. Their driveway always had two large cars parked on it and the rest of the cars were parked on the street. If I wanted to park my car infront of my house, I couldn't. If I wanted to put my barrels of trash out, i would have to do it in the morning after they left otherwise I wouldn't be able to.
Well, today I woke up and noticed that EVERYTHING was gone. All cars gone, all toys gone, everything. I noticed some papers on the window. Notice of eviction
Boy was I happy when I read that. Thank god I can get some peace and quiet now!
Should be interesting to see how fast the bank can get this house on the market. The house is nearly identical to mine so whatever it sells for is about what my home is worth.
Thanks for reading

Unless it's trashed inside. Can you see inside?

When I saw the smile face next to foreclosed I thought, "That is strange." Then I read the story:..... I think you could add a row of smiles. Enjoy the peace. You should check out potential buyers and at least meet them before they buy. That way you can scare them away if they sound like another nightmare! haha.

Yes I can see inside. It doesn't look like they trashed the place but they did leave behind alot of bulky items like furniture. I am assuming their next place isn't so big.

Haha I should do that. If I find someone I don't like I'll make like I am washing my car playing some gangster rap songs. Hopefully it sits vacant for awhile. There are alot of homes in the area that are vacant, most of which aren't even listed on the MLS. They aren't kidding when they say these banks aren't eager to put these homes on the market.

They probably don't want to flood the market and depress prices even more. At some point I think the banks will have to decide that they'd rather have some cash instead of white elephants.

Do you live in Santa Ana? This is characteristic of about every home in Santa Ana.
I must say, I am very happy for you. When I lived in Newport last year, there were these people that moved in across the street and totally trashed their fairly nice home (and on top of it all, they had a Mexican flag waving in the center of their brown lawn). The happiest day of that month for me was seeing that loud, obnoxious, ENORMOUS (family of 8ish) leave. It ended up selling for tons less than it was worth, but I was happy to see them pick up and leave.
Good riddance.

Everything you say that they did is illegal, and you could have had it stopped years ago with a few phone calls...!
