Lots of relaxed bars there (Rileys, Murphy's, AI, BayShore). If you want something more uppity go to the bar at Bonos. Maybe check out panama joes (mid 30s and up crowd) which was just remodeled. finally, on your way back to seal you could stop off in naples and visit the best dive bar of them all (Crows). Hit and miss there. Could be packed. Could be empty.
different night, hang out in seal, then take a taxi to hb and back. there is almost positively a bus that goes to hb from seal but a taxi is probably way easier. I recommended the bus from belmont to downtown lb and back because it's only a 3 or so miles apart and the buses run straigth back and forth between the two places along Ocean Blvd all the time. It will be easy and cost like a dollar or something.

Cheers! I think I'll be printing off that post and using it as a wee nightlife bible.
I guess Belmont,Dowtown LA,Dowtown LB all seem fairly easy to get to. A taxi to Huntington Beach is grand maybe once a week or something but I don't think we'll want to spend all our money doing it 3-4 times a week.
What are taxi prices like over there anyway? They've got to be better than Ireland, hehe.

Ah cool. If it was 20 dollars, that would be amazing. Between the 4 of us,it'd only be a few dollars each.
Heh,I thought there'd be some irish bars around yeah, they seem to pop up no matter where you go.

Kelly's is in Naples. Bar/Restaurant
Seal has The Irisher, O'Malley's, Hennessey's, and Clancy's all on Main Street. Irisher and Clancy's are more dive bar types, O'Malley's and Hennessey's have full blown restaurants with American and some (apparently) Irish fare.
