LMAO Why did you even bother to respond?

Who's treating her badly? She's coming in here sputtering nonsense about a place she clearly hasn't visited. So even though I've lived in OC longer than probably most of the people posting on this board, the moment I leave somehow I'm no longer qualified to speak on the subject? I find your reasoning peculiar to say the least. Please Quarter, stop while you're behind.

Thank you Quatermass. For some reason unkown to me ZhugeLiang has become offended by something I have said. I really don't know what has offended him/her. I did live there and I could prove residency if it were safe to do so but it isn't. And I really don't think I need to. I wouldn't be doing this if it weren't for the fact that I truly care about people making moves on unreliable information. Ok maybe I will admit that I put a pic of L.A on the Orange County pic thread by mistake.. big deal. Anyone can see by visiting google images and typing in Orange County smog that the area has air quality problems. Just because I posted the wrong picture does not make me a fraud. I have no reason to do that... I only came to this post to be a help to people and even if I have helped one person than it was worth it to me. Thank you to all of you who have supported and backed me up... I really appreciate it..

I still live here currently and I'm still getting crap slung at me for my opinions too...I think some of these people are just living in alternate realities or perhaps have been on the computer so long they haven't bothered to go outside and see what the OC is currently like. :-)

No, you just got put in your place. You're probably jealous that I can afford to live here. Are you finished or do you need further humbling?

You know, come to think of it, you wouldn't give the OP the benefit of the doubt on having lived in OC so why should I take your word that you live in Hawaii?

By all means, continue entertaining me.

Actually Kansas City is in Missouri too. It's on the other end of the state from St. Louis and on the Kansas border, but it's definitely Missouri.

It is so expensive that I never owned a home in the 20-years that I lived there. Half the time I couldn't understand my neighbor because everyone spoke another language. Nothing wrong with that (I have many beautiful Spanish speaking friends) but when an English speaking woman goes to the grocery store and can not find something and nobody speaks english, I have a problem with that. I really started feeling like an alien in Orange County. I actually felt very lonely at times

Another issue is the air quality. In the summer there are frequent smog warnings and you are basically told to stay inside unless you have to go out. I had terrible allergies and sinus problems while living there. I know it was the air quality because almost immediately after I moved to Oregon my problems went away.

I think there are absolutely way too many people in Southern Ca. It takes 2-3 hours to get to a 10-mile location most of the time. Even at night... My step-kids and several friends live there and they hate it. They continually tell me that it is getting worse with each passing year.

Finding a job is another problem. Jobs are hard to come by everywhere but read the statistics on California. The state is in a heap of trouble financially.

There are gangs and bad neighborhoods everywhere. You can be in a nice neighborhood and drive a half mile down the street and you will be in a bad neighborhood. For example, at the beginning of my marriage my husband and I lived in a really nice apartment. One night while we were sitting on the patio we heard gunshot. My husband ran down the street to try and help. A teenage boy was dead in the street as a result of a drive by shooting. It is very hard to find a decent place to live unless you are making a huge amount of money.
You really really sum it all up california especially socal and many people speaking different languages and crime very true and a lot other things. California aint all like that not everything is almost unbearable there could be more to being here.

Hi google in top 101 cities and you will find a web-site that is filled with statistical information about major cities in the U.S. This is the link: www.city-data.com/top2/toplists2.html. Then scroll down the list about a 1/4 of the way down and click on the link that says: Top 101 cities with the highest ratio of rapes to murders. Yorba Linda is listed as the 35th city.. Hope this helps some.

City of Yorba Linda
