Default Nope I never lived in LA, sorry...

I am not referring to L.A. In fact I didn't go there at all except to occasionally go to L.A.X. So sorry, my post refers to Orange County. I lived there, worked there, played there, was married in OC and had my two boys in OC hospitals. I visited every single city on a regular basis because I had many friends spread out all over the Southern California area... including North San Diego County (which I think is better than OC). San Diego is another post.. Nothing like OC.

So judge me as you will but I am talking Orange County through and through...

Just have to giggle a little, if you lived in Mo or on the border like we do, you wouldn't be caught dead, confusing the 2 cities.

I am also in support of much of what you say. I think you are being unfairly attacked, but I have been there as well, say anything negative even if you have positives as well and those who support CAlifornia will eat you alive..I may not totally agree with your assessment but you have every right to your opinion.

There are about 3 sane people browsing through these forums and about 15 insane...LOL...it is humourous to see...the ones who are in their own little reality are attacking all of the ones who are telling the truth (as many people will admit to here) and yet they then accuse those people of being the attackers! LMAO Sociopathic, a bit? LOL ;-) I'm glad you got out, it means there is one less person in this world who will be ruined by the self-centered pessimism here...hopefully all of these people will either be humbled to the point of maturing or perhaps the in-vitro clinics will shut down and the infertility which already exists here in large part will take over, so these loonies can't breed. Either way, THANK YOU for sharing your experiences...mine have been very similar to yours...and those of MANY MANY MANY others all throughout OC. The only way I'm coming back here once we move is for the high school reunions...so I have another several years before we need to come back after we move! :-)

Default LOL sometimes denial is the best way to deal with something!!

In other words I think some people are miserable and instead of admitting it they pretend it doesn't exist so they don't have to feel any pain. I actually think it is also quite intertaining and humorous to see the responses from certain people, especially those who have persistently attacked my character. I noticed mommyntheoc that you have been attacked as well. Maybe some of these people are women haters or something. I think one person said he didn't like blondes!! Wow, what a judgment and a generalization.. Another calls me a troll and I don't think he even knew the meaning. There was another that said I should be moderated, yet the rule states that there should be no personal attacks which I recieved numerous times from him. Another person said I never lived in OC. Uh huh.. I have nothing better to do than sit here and make up a bunch of lies.

The primary reason why I started a thread was because it bothered me that people were asking honest questions and some of those questions were not being answered truthfully. Since I had lived there and assumed it was so much different when I moved there and was actually trapped there for many years I had a huge desire to give my opinion. And I think I gave the good and the bad. Boy was I reamed for it... Never-the-less I am glad that I posted and I know there are others who support me and agree.

For those that don't agree or remain angry about my post I just figure that is their issue not mine. Hopefully whoever is planning on moving to OC will see all this, weigh the good with the bad and make a good decision for themselves. If their OC experience is positive for them then great and if not... well at least they were warned. Right???

Thanks for your support... by the way.. I saw the thread where someone told you to go get married to someone. Uh wouldn't that be against the law since you are already married? LOL some of these people are quite comical. Don't let it get to you and good luck on your move

Just wondering how many people in this forum actually LIVE in Irvine, since they are all commenting on it? As a 5 year resident of Irvine (just moved to Laguna Niguel recently)...I think those of us who have lived there recently or are currently residents should have more weight :-p

Probably 10 or so. You are a very new member. There are people who have yet to post since you have joined that live in places like Irvine, Los Alamitos, Rancho Santa Margarita, Mission Viejo, Anaheim Hills, Brea, Yorba Linda, Fountain Valley, Tustin, Newport Beach, etc....

haha Oh yes, and after that they said that I'm trying to get him to marry my sister! I don't even have a sister...ahhh...but it just proves once again the politics of how many people here feel about immigration laws...green cards and such. You should read the reply I just posted about immigration...I wonder how they'll respond, seeing as they referred to the "native population" and I'm pretty sure they meant themself...except...one problem with that, a huge one, is something they should've learned in high school history class! LOL Ahhh...the ignorance is just so entertaining for me to watch, every time they attack someone with a differing opinion, it shows the rest of the world how petty they really are.

I think you mentioned you are in WA? I've been all over this country and every person I've spoken to couldn't stand the people of the OC...it is so funny to listen to their experiences (and sad). The best compliment I have received recently was from a random lady at Disneyland....we started talking in line for Space Mountain, she was a long time Mission Viejo resident and after a few minutes she asked where I was from, I said, well I'm from here, I live in Irvine - her mouth dropped open and her eyes popped, and she said, really, you're from here? And I nodded...then asked why she was so surprised. She responded, "well, you're just too friendly and nice to be from here" - I started to laugh, she was just in shock and it amused me and saddened me all at once to realize that I, who can be quite disagreeable and counter-opinionated to the popular beliefs, was referred to as one of the nicest people she'd ever met here. Crazy.

I've been registered on here since last year, if that is new...just until now I was scouting other cities to visit, rather than commenting on home turf. I was curious to see if I could help anyone else with questions about here, and then ran into all this ruckus. How can you tell where people are from? Is there a way to view new members and their hometowns? That would save me from asking :-)

Sorry, I didn't know you have been here for a year. I guess I meant new to the Orange County subforum. I don't think I've seen you before these last few days. Welcome to the forum. I'm in Mission Viejo.

You should be able to see 75% of people who have their residence posted by looking at the top right of a post above the reputation and total posts section. You should be able to see mine for example.
