Is Orange County the most racist county in California?
Since OC had a long history on having a KKK presence and that beach cities and most of western OC is highly conservative and racist, I believe so.
I saw on the papers about some skinheads harassing a woman because she has mixed kids. And Orange County is suppose to be the "safest and affluent" county in the state.
I know racism is everywhere, but does anyone else think OC is the most racist county in CA?

Not even close. The strongest element of racism that I have seen in Orange County is reverse racism and minoriy vs. minority racism. Yes there are skinhead gangs in Irvine and in Newport Beach, but they are small and not accepted. Things are worse in other counties.
The location of the worst racism in Califronia depends on how you define racism. There is more racially based tension between hispanics and blacks than between whites and any racially based group. That tension is most prevelant in Los Angeles County. If you define racism as only white vs. blck or white vs. hispanic, then some of the farm counties are going to fit your definition the best. Have you ever been to Napa?

Is that in the census questions? "Are you a bigot A. Yes. B. No. C. I do not know what that word means."

What a bunch of bullsh*t.
2007 state crime data(latest published) shows Los Angeles county with the most hate crimes in the state by a margin over 400. San Diego, San Francisco, and Riverside Counties all have more hate crimes in 07 than Orange County as well.
If you want to make a bold, offensive claim, at least have data to back your claim up.

Why would you even bring up something like this? Oh, I know, you want to keep this board interesting with debates about things that can never be proven?

Yes it is extremely racist. I remember when me n' maw pa used to take me to the local Klan meetings after we got done watching NASCAR and knockin' back some Cuuuuuurrrs Laaight. I was only five then. We'd wave our Confederate flag and reminisce about the good ol' days.
Are you kidding with this garbage thread? Seriously?

While it is true that back in the 1920's, the KKK controlled Anaheim and the people who helped found Orange County were definitely white supremacists and that it was an outpost of the John Birch Society during the 1960's, the fact still is these days that people in Orange County, even mainstream conservatives, think racism is uncool (I say that as a proud leftwinger).
Riverside County, especially Riverside proper, is much more racist than Orange County and it is the only place where I have heard the "n" word thrown around by whites with any frequency. But even then, I don't see folks there breaking out the Klan hoods.
