Default A good place to live in CA

I'm coming from Minnesota. Where's a good, prosperous place to live or vacation in California?

Was going to ask the same. It just kills me when people ask such vague questions.

Well, lets see, we have oceans, mountains, forests, deserts....what exactly are you looking for...

Your question is very vague so this is the only answer we can give you until you offer more info. This info applies to the general LA area.
Anything you have seen on TV in the last 3 years except for maybe crime shows requires an income of mid 6 figures. The more you pay the safer the area you can live in. You must have a car to live here because public transportation is impossible. Anything decent near the beach requires a rent of $2000+ per month or if you want to buy $850K+.
A vacation would probably be a better idea instead of relocating right now because the unemployment rate is really high at the present time.

Yep, another one with no clue..Is it vacation he is really looking for or re-location? Obviously they are 2 separate things: vacation in Ca, wow so many awesome places to see and visit, live in Ca, yep, big bucks plus wherever one lives a job lined up beforehand is the only way.
