Why would I want to live in master-planned bland? I interned and strung for the OC Weekly. I'm not allowed to like that place. Growing up, Irvine and "cool" never were a match. I like real cities, ones with downtowns. Remind me where Irvine's Main Street is?

And what is so automatically admirable about being tops in income? And if I may generalize - because I am not familiar with such numerous studies - what is so stress-free about making all that dough, working long hours to outdo your neighbor's purchase of a BMW 3-class? Luckily, if you plan your town just so, all those lower-class twits that you need for your capitalism to sufficiently enrich you get to live in places such as Santa Ana, Garbage Grove and Westminster. (Or South America and China.)
That'd be Vietnam or Korea, not China. China/Taiwan/Hong Kong would be more Walnut and Rowland Heights... Westminster's home to Little Saigon, and Garden Grove's home to the Korean district.

Anyway... do some heavy research on Santa Ana and make your own decision. I personally would not choose to live there, but I'm not so adventurous...

Default Santa Ana

When my husband and I were first married, we lived in an apartment on Memory Lane which bordered on Santa Ana's beautiful Floral Park area where we went on bike rides Saturday and Sunday mornings. When we were looking for our first house (in 1971), the real estate agent advised that unless we planned to send our children to private school, Santa Ana was not the place to buy. Believe me, it hasn't gotten better! Sad.

Santa Ana has one of the highest household occupancy rates of all American cities over 100,000 pop.

Boy that right 79% don't speak English. If you need a doctor don't go to Santa Ana you can't get in because they all use the Emergency Room like a doctors office.

How did you develop a hate for Irvine? I doubt you ever lived there.
It's hard to get in without Klan membership.

HAHAHAHA... yeah--have you seen UCI and most of the high schools in Irvine? Huge percentages of Asians, some even majorities.

Actually... here's a map of hate groups in California:

SPLCenter.org: Hate Groups Map

EDIT: Santa Ana's listed as having the KKK...

You can have as many Iranians, Asians, Blacks and Mexicans as you like, but if NONE of them occuppy positions of power they might as well not exist at all. How many of these minority groups are judges, city councilmen, police officers and mayors?. FEW to NONE. Of course they're not 'card-carrying' klansmen ..they weren't accepted!.

Why does that matter so much to you?

Irvine sure looks like it's on the right track, even if it doesn't boast a politically correct racial mix in city government.

It matters to me because I'm an anti-nazi, anti racist. And Irvine is 'on the right track' for exactly what, White Supremacism?.

Lets see: Irvine has low crime, high property values, and good schools. Yep, sounds fine to me. You only have to look as far as Santa Ana to see a city on the wrong track.
