I would like to know the positive and negative of living in Capistrano.
I plan to move there in June, and I only been in the area for a quick interview.
Thanks in advance.

Nice town, old charm. Coastal living.
Never heard of any negative thoughts there. I have friends who live there.

By downtown, you will see lots of beat up cars, this is the little Capistrano barrio; however it's not as rough as most SoCal barrios such as parts of Santa Ana or Oceanside. The SJCPD have frequently held meetings with the community informing them it's their policy NOT to check immigration. (Hence why the population is so big?) It could always be better, but the cops do a fine job patrolling.

How's the commuting from Capo? I'll be working near the El Toro Y, 12 miles north on the I-5. Any guesses on how long would that take?

SJC is a bit inland and has no coast.

Beautiful community, the mission, excellent food at El Adobe, close to capo beaches. Very exclusive neighborhood's as well as a couple of working class ones. People who say their is a hood here are clueless and have never been to a ghetto before. The weather is great with temperatures that are a little warmer than the coast. You will see people riding their horse's on the street.

Zombie thread revival time. It's pretty safe to say "coastal living" when the city limits are less than .5 mile from the water.
