Excuse me??? You must have not read all these threads regarding Santa Ana because if you did you would realize that you just called the Santa Ana Police Department a bad name... But then again there is no moderator on the OC forum because they have all left and gone to another state .
The forum rules read: NO PERSONAL ATTACKS!!!!

Callng people pussies as in pussycats is not a bad word, and I did not personally attack any 1 person, it was a general statement which was corrobarated by the fact that Santa Ana is below the national average in Crime Stats, yet is deemed so scary by OC people.
It's the same people that think Redwood City is scary yet have never been to Richmond or Oakland..
Get out of OC and realize the world is not a little pink daisy.

i really dont know what europeans antibes is talking to but BTW and ROFLOL are well know phrases world wide, im european and have never spent any time of significance in the us and i know and use thoses phrases and similar abbreviations when im talking online. i also dont get how on the one hand you are saying her english is too good for her to be european but also say her post sounds 'stilted', a slightly strange tone and sentace structure combined with good spelling and grammer is typical of someone who has studied a language well but hasnt yet reached that native fluency level. i dont think your suspicion is justified based on her english capabilities

This whole discussion of comparing "bad areas" is interesting to me. Would anybody really want to live in the worst parts of Santa Ana, regardless of how it compares to Oakland, the Bronx, etc? A bad area is a bad area...at least to me. I dont want to live in bad areas, nor would OP I think, regardless of its ranking on the "bad area" scale.
OP - as others have said, some areas of Santa Ana are good. Hopefully you end up there. But in general, Santa Ana is an immigrant-heavy, lower-income area. Also, it has (by far) the highest violent crime rate in OC.
FBI says Santa Ana is still #1 - in violent crime in the O.C. | Orange Juice! Politics For The Rest Of Us.

And thanks for the support and backing here. Good post and honest analysis. To call someone a ----- when just stating facts about the safety of an area is really immature to say the least. The OP is just asking about the area and those who have experienced Santa Ana are responding...

You didn't use that word in that context so please do not try and change your wording after a point was made. And please don't use the Redwood City comparison because we are not talking about that city. I HAVE been to Santa Ana and have a very close association to the SAPD. So please be quiet and don't talk about things that you know nothing about.. It is called ignorance in my country. Have some respect please.

100% fake, for sure. Too much knowledge of jargons, grammar and general expressions common in the U.S. no European would know who had only been visiting a few times. First generation immigrants living an entire life in a new country only absorb so much since we get conditioned from what we learn from childhood. It takes a lot of time to adopt even simple, general expressions in a new and strange country. Took me almost 3 years to understand that tip MUST to be given at least 15% if not 20% or more. No one told me. Not being used to tipping, I used to give just small change which must have been no more than 5% of the bill. I must have peed off so many people without knowing it! And, it took me almost 10 years before I got it clear that "beaner" was no term of endearment towards Mexicans... No one told me. Up to that point, I actually found the word rather cute [after all, one would associate them with beans quite easily] and had even used it at random myself a few times..!.
Many american immigrants abroad don't know the inns and outs of basic things in their new home country, even after 10 years of living there. Unless someone points it out, its easy to let is pass. So *Sugarr* simply cant be real.
Wonder what this person *really* wants.

I haven't made one comment regarding Mexicans or any other race for that matter. I am talking about the area. To be specific with you Mach50 a very close relative of mine works for dispatch in Santa Ana.. Do I really need to prove myself here or give you any other specifics to the validity of my statements regarding the safety of the city??? I think you a taking this personal because of your nationality. Please don't do that because that is not my intention here... to pass judgment on people...
Chill out dude !!! Relax and enjoy the 4th of July... adios....
