Default Rehab Nurse relocating near Orange County..Need Help!

Where should we look to live, if my husband works in Irwindale, CA and I am a R.N. looking for a job in adolescent rehab center, probably in Orange County. I work at Hazelden in MN now, we are thinking of relocating to CA...Have absolutely NO IDEA where would be a good place to live. Would want some place in between these two locations. We will probably rent for the first year, to get a feel of the areas. We make around 120,000.00 year. Any info would be an answer to prayer!

I'm not familar with the Irwindale area. I live in Orange County and I think Irwindale is a good distance from any part of Orange County especially if you're thinking about communting for work. Have you looked at housing prices in California? $120,000 a year will get you a nice apartment in a nice area but it won't even put a dent in the $500,000 that you will need just to buy a nice condo in a nice area. irwindale and o.c. is a pretty long drive. you could live maybe in brea or fullerton which are nice. but that would mean quite a drive for both of you. maybe you could get a job in that area and then only on of you has to commute so far? this would be considered northeast o.c. you could commute to north o.c. i wouldn't go further south than tustin.
