Wanted to get peoples insight on this community. It is located at MacArthur and Main. It is a guard gated community which is shared with the Pelican Apartments. I'm not planning on buying until sometime next year. From what I can tell the HOA is not to bad, no mello roos, and the tax rate is about 1.04%. Is this community safe? Prices currently are about 230-250/sqft. My max is probably around 325k but don't want to go over 300k. Thanks for the input. I work in Orange and trying to maintain a decent commute to work while still living in a nice, safe neighborhood.

Vantage Townhomes is shared with the Pinnacle at MacArthur Apartments and is a great community in an excellent area called South Coast Metro. It is very close to South Coast Plaza, the Orange County Performing Arts Center and John Wayne Airport. The Double Tree Hotel is situated just in front of it and provides free shuttle service to the airport and back. Many great restaurants and immediate freeway access make this an excellent place to live. There are five different floorplans withing the community and all are very nicely laid out and all have private, direct access garages. The HOA dues and the taxes are reasonable and the property is well maintained by the management company. It's a great place to live if you are looking for style and convenience.

Good info from Hope on the accommodations. The area is pretty nice. There is a lot happening between OCPAC and the South Coast Repertory Theater. There is a nice movie theater right there as well.

During the Holidays, the streets and freeways get really crowded with shoppers heading in and out of South Coast Plaza but those inconveniences can be offset, to a degree, by the close proximity to Wahoo's Fish Taco and In-N-Out Burger, both right close on Bristol Street!

Pretty much the same as living in Irvine condos except lower cost and not so good schools. Could be harder to sell to a family due to schools. However there are some good schools in Santa Ana. Nearby Sergrerstrom High is not bad. OCHSA is very good.

You might get some airport noise there. Obviously street and freeway noise as well.

Just down the street from El Torito Grill. Those corn puff things they make are deadly to dieters. (Delicious and bad for any diet).
