Well, get used to it. My house did not go below 80* inside for over 2 months last summer. It got as high as 90 inside some afternoons. I open windows at night that have security bars on them and close it all up in the morn until around 4 pm.

We can't stand it but there's no ac so we have to deal with it. Some apartments do have ac, it's just that mine doesn't. So we have to open the windows and cool our place by using multiple fans to push the air in.

We don't have your level of humidity to deal with.

And it costs a small fortune to run the AC with our electric rates so we avoid running it if possible.

Or in my case, I've acclimated myself to the heat of the IE. When I first moved here (from the coast in OC) my AC would be set as cold as it can go. Now I'm up in the low eighties and perfectly comfortable. I don't even use my car AC anymore, unless I'm in stop and go traffic.

We also moved from coastal OC to Santa Clarita recently. The temps are higher here but being that is less humid, you don't feel the whole 10 degrees, but you can still say that it is hotter up here. Our biggest problem is one of the bedrooms that has only the roof on top without an attic in between.

To the poster in PA, when we were in the NE, we would barely tolerate 68-70, but the humidity was the problem. I remember my glasses would get fogged if I got in the car around noon. I had to open the window and turn the AC on for a few minutes before I could drive.
