i have theb feeling yorba linda is a great place to live for a familly, but the air seems to be poluuted...

Combining responses to three threads:
If you're very concerned about air quality, nowhere in LA or OC really has great air. Yorba Linda is inland and is going to have worse than average air. That doesn't mean you can't go outside without a scuba tank, but the air isn't good.
The nearest major universities are Cal State Fullerton, Cal Poly Pomona, and UC Riverside. There's community colleges everywhere.
So much about transportation in SoCal depends on direction and time of day. Yorba Linda to Corona is a reverse commute but the 91 is still a very busy road subject to random traffic jams at pretty much any time of day or night in either direction. I'd guess 30 minutes or less most of the time.
The nearest beach would be Newport with Huntington close by. It could be 30-60 minutes depending on traffic. The local mountains are a little farther but it really depends on exactly where you're going.

Corona has worse air than Yorba Linda. I lived in YL and never had any problems there healthwise.
Live in YL and enjoy. It does get pretty warm there during the summer, but Temecula is worse and nowhere near as nice.

Yorba Linda has one of the highest median household incomes in the county. There's money there and they'll pay to not have to live with the riff raff.

for escape...how do you define riff raff?sorry i am european,i do not understand riff raff?what do you mean?
the houses are more expensive in yorba linda, but how is the air better or worse?
about temecula air i got following answer:
Temecula generally doesn't have dirty air. There are a few factors in our favor here. The main factor is a wall of air that comes in from the Pacific Ocean, west from the Camp Pendleton area. This airflow, combined with the terrain (mountains), blocks the dirty air from coming south along something local meteorologists call the Elsinore Convergence.
You can actually see the wall of dirty air to the north on some days.
There are a few days a year where the pattern breaks down and conditions are not good. But they are few. Air quality is normally good enough, in fact, that the local air quality district doesn't maintain monitoring equipment in the Temecula area.
