My Fiance and I are looking for a barn for our wedding reception. Our budget is low compared to the average wedding, but still sizeable. We want to bring in some simple food and tables, and hold a reception in a barn, but I can't seem to find one.

If anyone has one on their property or knows of one that they would be willing to rent out - we'd be happy to rent it!

We're very respectful and neat and not looking for a rip roaring party. Just want to feed everyone and have a first dance and cut cake.

Please share if you know of anything : )

Thanks!

There are very few barns in Orange County, because there's not much farmland left--at least not many small farms that might have a barn you could rent. I see that a bride had the same question a year ago, apparently with no results.

Orange County old house or barn for wedding - Money Saving Tips Forum - GardenWeb

I recall going to a few events at Knott's Berry Farm, not inside the amusement park, but in their meeting area. I remember the landscaping and decor had a rather country feel, but I don't think it would be inexpensive now.

Why a barn? I know you want to save money, but why do you want a barn and not a park or backyard?

My wife works at Knott's. She said everything at the park is available for private use.
There are several barns at the park that would work.

Have you looked into Centennial Farms at the Orange County Fairgrounds? I have been to many public and private events there. Beautiful barn, all the ambience of a farm (moos, baas and smells). Loads of parking, and I know the staff is really nice.

Just Google Centennial Farms Orange County Fairgrounds.

Good luck and congradulations!

You might look into Pitcher Park in the City of Orange.

Several homes in Orange PArk Acres have barns. On the way out to Silverado Canyon, there are several places with barns. I cannot think of anyplace else where I have seen barns.

Pitcher Park, isnt that the barn with the bee colony in it? Could be an entertaining wedding there. Can I come and watch?

I had a wedding at Neff park in La Mirada about 30 years ago. I think it is actually LA county but right on the border of Orange county. It was very quaint. We were married in a gazebo which is also on the grounds and the barn was used for the reception. I arrived in a horse and carriage which went along with the theme.

At Knott's east picnic area they have the church that used to be in the park at the feista area. The OP could have their wedding there and walk to one of the available barns or muti purpose buildings.
