I was born in Chicago and moved out to CA when I was 10 to Huntington Beach and Westminster is pretty much right next to it. I wouldn't recommend it just because it's known to be a bad area and there are nice houses but ehhh it's not that great. I know the area pretty well and it's a bunch of wannabe gangster kids who are majority Asian and Hispanic. Since you might be moving I recommend HB rather than Westminster. They're neighbors so it wouldn't be a problem on how far it is.

Warn her? What a very odd statement that comes across as being so inappropriate. It sounds like you are comparing the Vietnamese people to a pack of coyotes that she should be fearful of. I think a better way of making your point would be to simply say something like, "Westminster has a very large Vietnamese community and it may be a bit of a culture shock for you especially if you have never experienced a heavy Asian influence before". That's it. There is no cause for a "warning" here.

my experience with the vietnamese community in westminster was that they are a bunch of welfare grubbing immigrants who vote democratic when they're sucking up every type of handout, but abruptly hate democrats and vote republican as soon as they've sucked up all that they can. bunch of users.

 Northwest=Bolsa Chica and Westminster which is nice.
Southeast=McFadden and Bushard, also nice
It's the middle that I would avoid...Beach and Hazard/Westminster

Don't do it!!!!!!!!! Westminster is no place to raise your kids. Drugs are what that city is made of!!! If you shop at Wal-Mart, that's great, but kids in orange county don't wear clothes from Wal-Mart. It's all brand names! Hurley, Roxy, Billabong, Seven, Etc. All very pricey brands. Are old are your kids?

entitlement area
The city has a hugh population of people that receive government assistance in the form of HUD housing, Refuge Act Entitlements, Low intrest business loans because of race and gender, Westminster HS has a free breakfast/lunch program that sevices about 1400 students, Medicare Fraud is common,.... This is not the America most people want to live by.

Not all... Vietnamese non-youth vote extensively Republican, actually. Only in recent history have Vietnamese youth begun voting Democrat. They're generally very conservative--even though many benefit from public assistance (legally qualified or otherwise--I don't condone AT ALL the latter, but Vietnamese are not alone in fleecing our government).
I went to college with a good many Vietnamese kids who didn't qualify for public aid, and most of the ones I do know that qualified were because their parents work in very blue collar jobs, mostly assembly or nail shops and the such, and thus don't make very much--not enough for a family with children anyway.
My mom and most (I think all, actually) of her friends, all of whom married American men (mostly soldier, some civilian, I think) during the Vietnam War, didn't qualify for public assistance--my parents paid for my college education out-of-pocket. Luckily, I went on the cheap and attended CSU, Fullerton.

Don't do it. Go to Huntington Beach, Costa Mesa, Irvine, Seal Beach, San Clemente, Laguna Hills, Newport Beach if u can afford a nice home but not Westminster. Its communities are not pretty, roads has pot holes, schools doesn't get a whole lot of funding because of property taxes and test scores, etc. I live in Newport Coast but I have family living in Westminster but that's because they are old traditional Vietnamese folks who likes to stick with other Vietnamese. Go south of Orange County for nice communities, homes, cleaner beaches, better schools, better work opp. etc. South OC is a bit more expensive but you get what u pay for.
