I'm looking for recommendations on accommodations for myself and two kids for this July and August. I'm trying to set it up so my son can attend a day camp for kids with autism. We live in a small isolated town that doesn't have many resources for him. He's high-functioning, therefore he doesn't qualify for any financial aid, so we can't afford to spend tons on housing. The camp alone is over $3,000. He has a very restricted diet so I need the ability to cook his food. Any suggestions would be welcome. We'd be happy to house sit, but unfortunately he's allergic to any animals with hair/feathers. We're great fish feeders though.

How many tons can you afford to spend on housing?
Is it just for two months?
Where do you need to live?

2 bedroom apartments in Irvine should be about $1800/mo on a 1 year lease. Leasing for less than that usually adds about $200/mo. You might be better off in an extended stay hotel.
