Looking for a CHEAP motel within ten miles of Disneyland. Key word is CHEAP. I don't care if it's a run down flea infested welfare motel. I need a CHEAP place to sleep and shower while visiting the area for a couple days.

There used to be a bunch on Harbor Blvd. back in the 80's. Do any of them still exist?

That could work. Are there any? I know the hostel in Huntington Beach closed down.

There used to be a bunch of motels around $20 or so back in the late 80's. With inflation, that would probably be closer to $40 today. Do these still exist?

There are still the dive motels on Harbor. Try Motel 6.

Just rent a car and sleep in it. Then you will have both a car and a cheap hotel. There are showers at the beach.

Too bad I don't drive. Besides, I heard the police actively look for people sleeping in their cars. You can sleep on the ground next to your car, but not in it.

The last time I checked, Motel 6 was just as expensive as Best Western and other similar places.

I just need a bed. I don't care about amenities.

While Charles is checking for you, I wanted to write that most of the ones you are talking about are gone......they were old, run down and full fo drugs, prostitutes, etc....and they removed them and put California Adventure there, (that's Disneyland Part 2, kinda)....

Zaby's is pretty rundown. You might try there. It's at Katella and Harbor. However, you will likely see prostitution and drug activity there. There was also a really rundown rathole on one of the back streets near Disneyland (maybe off of Manchester?).

There are two Day's Inns on Harbor. Further up Harbor north of Ball there was a rundown Ramada. That might work for you. I can't believe that Ramada ever wanted to attach their name to that property.
