I am looking to relocate to the west from Florida.
I am considering either Vegas or Orange county, CA.
Have traveled to both areas a few times and thinks that both would be go places to relocate.
Just interested in hearing from people who live in theses areas to see some of the pros and cons of each.
Vegas home market is very affordable but I hear that the job market and payscale are not too great.
While Orange county, CA payscale is much higher, homes are still quite expensive unless you travel to the Inland area.
I am currently working in the printing field.

Any information is greatly appreciated.

I hope you print money because you'll need it to buy a home in Orange County. Of course, you could print aces and buy a mansion in Las Vegas.

Orange County
Pro: Weather
Con: Housing prices
Pro: Availability of any kind of food, service, or product
Pro: Lots of good schools
Con: Some bad schools
Pro: Geographic diversity
Con: Subject to California sales, income and (OC) property taxes
Con: Expensive electric power
Con: Recent public school turmoil

In Vegas, You'd want to look to Green Valley (Henderson) or Summerlin areas for better neighborhoods and schools. Other newer neighborhoods include SouthFork, Mountain's Edge/Silverado Ranch area and Lake Las Vegas. The job market in Vegas is, unfortunately, abysmal right now.

Since you've visited you may already be familiar with the full blast-furnace heat of summer. It starts reaching the 90's in April and 100's by May, and doesn't cool off until close to Halloween. But being from Florida, you'll find the dry heat won't seem as hot to you.

There's also no state income tax.
