Mission Viejo has a lake which I believe one can swim in if the weather is warm enough.

what kind of hockey? ice? depends what part of OC you're in. Anaheim has 2 rinks, Westminster has 1 (reopening soon), Aliso Viejo has 1, Yorba Linda has 1. roller hockey - there's a center on Barranca in Irvine, and one in Anaheim/Placentia and I know of two small outdoor rinks - one in Garden Grove and one in Tustin.

running, depends on your preference but there are several high school and JC tracks around. I used to run on the rubber track at OCC in Costa Mesa because I hated running on concrete or asphalt. also running/cycling - Irvine area has lots of sidewalks and bike lanes the Santa Ana river trail and the paved beach trails are also good if you have a road bike.

Default Anyone Interested in Swimming!

Hello,
I was a competitive Swimmer for 12 Years ending my Swimming Career in December when I graduated College at CSUN.

I am currently a Pool Manager and Head Coach of a Swim Team located in Huntington Beach. The great thing about my facility is that I have two pools.
One pool is a 6 lane 25YD pool which is outdoor warmed year around at about 86 Degrees! Our indoor facility is primarily for young kids learning to swim at 94 Degrees year around. My instructors teach kids of all ages to survival swim then prepare them for structured swimming.

I am in charge of our Swim Camp which:

Bronze: Prepare them to swim 50 Yds of Back Stroke and Freestyle which proper Flip Turns, Start and Finish.

Silver: Prepare them to swim 50 Yds of Butter Fly and Breast Stroke with proper Start, Turns and Finish.

Gold: Which is our Competitive USA Swim Team. We joined Aquazots which means we joined together to form a big swim team. We are a Satellite Pool which still swim under Aquazots but practice at the Huntington Beach Pool.

Also don't forget about the Adults ( 13- infinity) Everyone is invited to learn to swim or to get a tough workout.

For more info please check out our website at swimventure.com

Thanks,
Matthew Olaya
