What is the summer weather like in the Willamette valley?
Ok, so I know winters are full of grey skies and rain, but what about the summer and fall months in the Corvallis to Eugene area? Thanks for your responses.

it rarely rains between July 4th and Oct 1st... you can count the days on one hand. Avg summer temps daytime high of 80-85, evening cools off to 65 most nights. 1-2 weeks of 90-100 degree days sometime in summer. No humidity. Few if any bugs...in other words paradise. We never take vacations outside of Oregon in summer...can't imagine wanting to be someplace else...we leave the state for a week or two each winter and spring...just to get out of the grey.

Yes, we've had rain the last couple of days (July 17 & 18) which is pretty odd. I think 95+ degree days are more common than rainy 65 degree days this time of year.

I would add that there definately is humidity in the north valley areas, say Corvallis/Albany and Salem areas.

jcapaus,
The summer (and even early Fall) months here in the Willamette Valley are exceptional! yes, there are a few days of rain (that is a good thing...it keeps me from having to run my sprinklers as much...$$$) But overall the temps are between 75 and 90 with lots of sunshine.
When we first moved here 6 years ago, we arrived in September and were seriously believing that everyone had LIED to us about the rain...it was gorgeous. Ok, they told the truth but the summers every year since have been great.
While I can't argue with CalculusE....yes, there is some humidity...it is all kind of relative, isn't it? I mean as compared to Florida? NO, there is no humidity here! I went back to my home state of PA earlier this summer and it was SIGNIFICANTLY more humid than here. But it is much MORE humid than say Hawaii.
Best of luck.
Dave

Oh yeah, its not as bad as the east coast which I still remember from childhood visits but its still here. I wouldn't recommend going without AC in the Willamette Valley. I've done it for years in my apartment and its not fun. I've also been used to southern oregon's dry heat so... I had a real wake up call when I went to school in Corvallis.

Come on people the weather in Willamette Valley is the best there is(once you get past the allergy season and burning fields don't help). It's anything but extreme-just right!
