Hi,
A friend of mine is interested in Myrtle Creek and the surrounding area. He is curious how much the area has changed since he grew up there. Any info would be of interest. Thanks ahead of time.

I've been thru Myrtle Creek a number of times over the years and it's always looked the same to me. No obvious signs of development. Same goes for Myrtle Point.

Thanks for the reply...guess he'll have to take some time off and make a trip into the area...it's been like 30 years since he was even thru there.

Well if its been 30 years since he has been to Myrtle Creek there hasn't been much of a change, looks the same as it did. The only change that has been made is the realignment of the exit at Tri City/Riddle exit, oh, the A&W moved down the hill to the gas station.

I've fished the Umpqua River around Myrtle Creek & drove around some. The area designated as south Myrtle Creek seems to be spread out, almost to Riddle.

I did some research for him and did know about the new freeway interchange...as I posted previously (for him)...I think he will have to take time off and make the trip himself to see what's what..I haven't been able to get comparisons of cites/towns (cost of living, demographics, etc) from townhunter.com, and there's not much in CD about the area either...I think he wants to get out of AZ and move back up that way. And again, nothing is set in stone with him. I suggested this site as a way to get local info...So thanks for your help....any other suggestions for good local info will be appreciated. Peg

It seems to be a friendly town. I never have had any problem. It's pretty close to this casino.

Seven Feathers Casino Resort

I enjoy it along Cow Creek between Riddle & Glendale.
