hi again, I posted awhile back inquring about towns nearby Mt. Hood, as I may be working there this winter. I again have some more questions as I have been givin information about my pay etc. I will be living on aprox $800 a month. Would someone please be able to give me insight into the cost of total rent of a house/flat in Parkdale, hood river, and any other places surronding Mt. Hood that may be of intrest to me. Links to websites where I am able to view property for rent would also be aprreciated! Thanks.

Oooh! that's going to be tight! Rent in Hood River is high, you might find something in Parkdale, there just are not a lot of homes (rental or otherwise) in Parkdale. If you go to Gorge News Home Page you can click on the link to the Hood River News, that's the local paper. I would check with your employer, they might have some housing ideas/arrangements you could check into. Good Luck with your search.

On $800 a month, you better be looking for 2 or 3 co-workers to share expenses with. Think grinding poverty. Think panhandling for grocery money. $800 a month is not even Oregon minimum wage. That's less than 30 hours a week at minimum wage.

You could always get a second job rolling tacos. At least you wouldn't starve to death.
