Thanks janb!

Great advice there, I will most certainly take it to heart.

Can I ask about the "eastside trips"? Which cities/areas would that be?

Thanks

Hey PortlandNative
I was born and raised in Copenhagen, Denmark which has a similar climate with the cloudiness and rain, so I should be used to it. I do like rain (I lived in Idaho for 30 years and got a bit fed up with eternal sunshine 7 months a row in the summer), and only 11 inches of rain.

Thanks for responding, you make rain sound good

PortlandNative hi

Thanks so much for your response.

You make rain sound so romantic and fun.

I was born in Copenhagen, Denmark (now US citizen) and the climate there is similar to Portland and areas - rainy and cloudy. So you would think I am used to it.

I do love rain (after having lived in Idaho for 30 years -eternal sunshine 7 months in a row in the summer).

Take care.

janb

Thanks for your welcome advice. It sounds like real intelligent advice.

I have read every thread here about that subject.

I was raised in coastal Coos County, Oregon. I don't know much about Denmark, but I do know that a can of "Copenhagen" graced the shirt pocket of most loggers there, who were forbidden to smoke in the woods during dry spells. Some of them, as I recall, did suffer from S.A.D., and the medication of choice was Whiskey.
Hope this helps....

I was in Denmark in Assens for a wedding last July. I had been in southern France for a while and flew to Copenhagen. On the drive to Assens I thought "this place looks just like Oregon! Or at least the Willamette Valley. Flat and green!"

I won't say that I like the rain, but it doesn't bother me, having grown up with it. I do remember being in grade school and coming home with wet shoes and socks from riding Tri-Met and walking to my house and not liking the wetness very much.

Can anyone please advice what an effective treatment would be?

What about color therapy has anyone tried that, if yes, does it work?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
