I agree that it is sad that this thread was resurrected. It is over a year old and died a quick death as it should have originally...

And even if you avoid the frequent beatings, the giant Grants Pass lizards will probably kill and eat you:

Most likely to be hit with fire and brimstone?
Ashland.
Is this rude enough to get the thread shut down?
If not we can amp it up a bit....

Yikes! Another reason not to live in Grants Pass Just kidding, in case you don't get my sarcasm!
You're right, a single visit is hard to judge a place by. However, like I said, my brother-in-law has been to Grants Pass several times and what we witnessed always seems to be the case when he has been there.
I just have a problem when I go to a town and see this kind of behavior in broad daylight. The other major issue I had was that several people off the street seemed to join in. Hopefully it was a one time thing, but from what I have read about, it's not.
Sure, paradise is often in the eye of beholder. If you truly love the place you live, even if others don't, then great! I know what it's like to be searching for a great place to live. It's nice to hear others opinions about places, even if they aren't all peachy.

You just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Grants Pass is not like this. I know. I've lived here for twenty years. But the lizards... Those are good reason not to move here!

I am glad to hear that! Grants Pass looks like a beautiful area and I was saddened to see such a display. It's good to know that someone who has lived there, and experienced the city, can say it's not like that. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. Next time I travel through the area I hope to experience the true Grants Pass!
