It seems the dog-friendly yurts and cabins are always booked well in advance. Does anybody have a good alternative (i.e. less than $50, somewhat private).

It honestly doesn't matter where in Oregon, though somewhere scenic would obviously be nice.

You might check here, but then again this might be the ones that you're talking about being booked well in advance.

I would suggest simply booking one of the booked-well-in-advance yurts/cabins well in advance. I really don't mean to be smart alecky with you, it's just that those are your best bet for what you're looking for and sometimes you just have to plan ahead to get what you want.

Or book them for December... there is frequently openings during that time of the year.

Heheh, at some of the state parks for July/August reservations, you have to call at 8:00am exactly 9 months in advance (the max allowed) to book a yurt or cabin, and even then you may be in a phone war with other rabid yurt bookers. It's frankly gotten quite ridiculous.

(luckily I have a camper trailer now and don't have to worry about it anymore)
