Default Banks Oregon?

Can anyone tell me about Banks? What is the atmosphere/personality of the place? Also, the weather... does it snow? Do they get those cold winds? Thanks.

I was through Banks a couple weeks ago. I was impressed at how neat and well maintained the main drag was. I didn't get off the highway.

Banks is a great little town and the surrounding area is beautiful since it butts up to the start of the coastal mtn. range.

Yes, it gets ocassional snow and wind just like the rest of the PDX area but it's not that bad.

Banks has the basics plus it's only 10 minutes to Forest Grove, 15 minutes to Hillsboro and about 30 minutes to Portland. (nothing is really inconvienant). In addition you're only 1 hr to the coast.

Banks is tiny and a bit ingrown. But it's a nice place. You could be mayor.

Nice area.

Some coastal weather influence - but a bit buffered. But no chilling winds like come from the east through the gorge to east Portland area.
