Default Is all of Oregon as rainy as they say?

I hear that all of oregon rains 4 months out of the year. I am looking to move and like a small town area- I have three small kids and want a family welcome small town. I hear Ashland- renaissance area- is beautiful but pricey. What does that mean? How much are houses there? Is there anywhere that is seasonal and near mountains but rains a little less? Any help would be appreaciated. Also if you can direct me to pictures of an area I would love that! Thanks, Nora

Yes, you can expect rain 4 months out of the year, partly rainy for another 2 or 3 months, and hot and dry for the rest of the year. Ashland rains a little less, but that doesn't mean less time, just less inches.

An average house in Ashland will cost you about $500,000.
