I read somewhere that people who pick their noses when driving are the main cause of germs on gas pump handles. I can't find the article right now. Everybody knows that the snot and the boogers (especially the greenies) transferred to the handles contain a lot of germs.
I didn't see if they are prosecuting spitters (a major habit in Asia).
