Default what would be the cheapest coastal oregon town

i understand nothing on the coast is "cheap" however i ran into a nice inheritance and i want something right on the ocean where i can see the ocean from my back yard it dosent have to be a huge mansion a nice 2 bed 2 bath is fine with me is there anything like that in the 350k or less range i can spend more if i have to but would prefer to keep it in that range id prefer to be in southeren oregon but im open to other suggestions i know washington is said to be slightly cheaper but i dont want to be that far north as i like palm trees and redwoods

why would you want the cheapest? 350k is way more than enough in any Oregon coast town, don't get stuck in some backwater just because it's the "cheapest." find the one you like best and buy there.

Well, 350k won't get you much in Cannon Beach. BUT she really needs to go to Bandon and Gold Beach to see what is available. You really can't generalize about beach houses because condition is always an issue (salt air is corrosive), and the sea erodes the shore so any purchaser should pay attention to geology. Many are on septic tanks and in some places the water company is problematic. A buyer really needs to pay attention to details.
