Default Farm / Ranch property near Tigard, OR?
My employer has a job opening in Tigard but I don't know much about the area yet.....We are "horse people" and have been wanting to perhaps leave Arizona for an area that is green and we could have pastures for our horses...
Is there any nice farm / ranch land near enough to Tigard? Anything near mountains, rivers, lakes, etc? Thanks!

There is a lot of rural acreage very near Tigard, thanks to Oregon's land use planning. Good luck finding any of it for sale. Farm land is at a premium, and farmers are constantly cruising their neighbors for a hint that some might be available. Also, you will be in direct competition with a large and very affluent metropolitan area, with 10,000 families trying to buy a few dozen available properties. The Willamette Valley is only about 40 miles wide and 80 miles long.
