The Coast (to rent, shops, beaches)

When visiting the different beaches along the Central & Southern Coast, do people usually rent wet suits and boards? Someone told us that "skin" boards are inexpensive to rent and that they're fun??!! I was wondering about wet suits as I've heard the water temp isn't warm.

I've never heard of renting wetsuits but if there is someplace out there that does rent them, it wouldn't be a bad idea. The current off the pacific ocean rolls down the coast from Alaska and the Bearing Sea...needless to say it stays very cold all year long.
