Default How about Molalla.?

I have the chance to relocate to Molalla, Org. I visited, and like the small town feeling, but I have heard people are now locating there because it is a close commute to Portland..? I guess what I am asking, is it soon to grow away from the sleepy town into a city..? How is it now, and what does the future look like?
I read the forum all the time, have never seen Molalla mentioned. Any reason?

Because of the road system, just about anywhere in the north part of the state is closer to Portland than Molalla. The character of the whole state is changing with people's changing expectations, but you can expect that Molalla will remain a small town for a while yet.

LOL. I grew up there.
I'll agree with Larry. Molalla is so far out it takes forever (ok, exageration) to get to any malls or decent restaurants. If you like the country life (which I did) you might not mind. Canby is nice too, but a little closer to the freeway.
