Hello, I am right now in missouri, where I have lived my whole life. I have been to washington and oregon, and love it. Very beautiful, and I love the weather. In most parts. Myself,my bf, and our son, Are planing a move in one of the two, but we are trying to deside where to move. We kinda want a smaller town not to far from a bigger city. We love rainy, more spring type weather. I also would like to know how are living expencies? Please anyone that can help give me some info/suggestions on places. Please Do! Thank you to all!

well....theres a WHOLE lot of smaller towns outside of cities between the two states..and most have rainy/springish weather....I cant help you out w/Washington,but maybe a few suggestions for Oregon.
but still, really need a bit more specifics would be helpful in being able to help you out. whats smaller to you? how far is not too far? how big do you need the city to be? any paticular line of work? price ranges? Those answers I think will be helpful in being able to direct you to check out between Portland outskirts and Eugene outskirts really. From your weather wants, it does sound like those areas would be better rather than southern/eastern Ore. for you... anyhow, more specifics please, theres lots of wonderful people on the board that will be able to give you suggestions and opinions. I'd check out the areas around Salem, or between Salem and Portland. That would give you access to the Universities in the area for your schooling, and more options for your employment.
If you like Salem for example, you could check out Jefferson or Turner areas for a place to live, small town with easy commute to Salem or Albany. Both are relatively less expensive housing costs. good luck. Dave |
