Default Pit bull friendly Places to stay in Astoria, Seaside, Warrenton?

Hello All,

Please let me start by thanking you all in advance for not posting any Anti-Pit bull notes on my thread.

My fiancé, and I may finally have the opportunity to move back to Astoria, one of the most lovely towns I have ever been to in my life. I adore the importance of community the love of arts, and the absolute beauty of the town.

But I need to find a place that allows a well mannered Pit Bull, I am a responsible dog owner. She is fixed, going threw training classes, and will continue too. I also have her insured threw my renters insurance, this will also continue. I would even be willing to may more above rent. I have no problem with a one on one interview with a landlord, with both people and dogs.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you all for your time, please have a wonderful 4th of July.

Whether your dog is well trained or you offer to pay more rent, may not matter. I think that a lot of insurance companies have "anti-pit bull" clauses.

My insurance company had already assured me they will transfer my policy. Also, there are many insurance companies that cover ( supposed aggressive breeds).

I meant that if you're looking to rent a place, all landlords must have insurance. They may have different regulations.
We have a large Cane Corso. We realized that we couldn't stay in most RV Parks, because their insurance won't cover a whole lot of breeds that they think are dangerous. It was really frustrating. We prefer campgrounds anyway

I apologize if I seemed rash, I get a little defensive when it comes to my baby girl. And this has been such a hassle. I wish they could work on a dog by dog bases. But for now the search continues.

Fort Stevens has no problems with Pit Bulls. Not exactly what you're looking for, but I take mine there all the time and she gets loved on by everybody. Even Park Rangers, one of whom has been known to sneak by with treats when I'm not looking.

We camped at Fort Stevens. We love it there!! None of the campgrounds care what kind of dog you have, as long as they aren't nuisance barkers and you clean up after them.

Default Any dog can be a pain when looking for a rental.

I own a well mannered border collie. Finding a dog friendly rental/landlord can be difficult. Add the pitbull and I would imagine that it might be harder somewhat.

I think you are on the right track with the interview w/landlords. I worked for me. If they accept pets on a case by case, take your baby to meet the prospective landlord. I rented an apartment, met management team with the dog. Did same with a home owner, Each time my boy charmed them. Small town Oregon should be more dog friendly than the larger cities.

I love all breeds. Bad owners have made it tougher on the people and pets who are responsible.

Haha, I love that!, it is the same with My baby Princess. People have changed their views on pits after meeting her. With her greenish eyes and bottom lip. She warms your heart, with just a wag of her tail.
