Okay I'm still searching for the elusive sunny weather in Oregon...since Medford is so close to the Calif border, I'm wondering if the sun is out more there? I've heard the weather is drier, but is it mostly overcast like the majority of the state?

It's sunnier than Portland, but if you're looking for Los Angeles you're not going to find it.

After living in Oregon my entire life, and then moving to Nebraska, we are coming back to Oregon and I will NEVER again complain about the heat... I will take dry heat any day of the week compared to this humid, oppressive and polluted area of our country.

So happy to be coming home.

Grants Pass is never hotter than Medford. It still gets hot though. It cools off at night by about 35-40 degreees in both.

This was the first time in 2 years that we hit the 100+ mark. We can get into the upper 90's allot in Southern Oregon but going over the century mark is rare.

Typically Southern Oregon has more sunny days than the Northwestern part of the state.

The last 2 years have been slightly cooler than normal (probably as part of the La Nina ENSO cycle). Looking back at weather records, Medford routinely has 5-15 days over 100 in summer.
