Default Attorney probability in So. Oregon?

Hi everyone,

I have been lurking for a few weeks now and just recently started posting. I am wondering if any of you are attorneys or know attorneys in the Rogue Valley?

I was raised in Oregon, left for school and then started a career in So. Cal. I am DONE with it here and am looking to come back home to start a family and be with my relatives still residiing in the Medford area.

My husband and I run a law office here and I notice there are quite a few solo practices in Medford and surrounding areas, so not much opporunity to get hired on at a firm. Looks like we will resume our own practice, but I am just wondering how we will do?

The ratio of people to attorneys looks good for us, however I worry about the actual demand for attorneys, and of course, if it will turn out that the majority of people will have the funds to hire one.

Any input and/or information you may have would be great appreciated! Thanks!

SoCal is like Heaven for a lawyer, but I understand being close to your relatives.

If you could throw some living trust, Wills and estates in the mix it may help with the retirees in the community.
Personal injury may have some legs, there are manufacturing jobs in Medford and White city, and ofcourse the grocery store and traffic accident clients.

best wishes.

Default You are quite right!

Freedom: I do believe you have something there. I too thought there might be a need for that area of practice. Looking at the data from 2003 (most current I could find) there are a lot of late 30-somethings as well as retirees living in the Rogue Valley. Thank you for the response!
