We are moving to Oregon and I'm so excited! My husband's job is in Reedsport, but we are thinking of living in Florence. Does anyone know of a (secular) homeschool group for this area? I have been searching the internet and a secular home school site, but I'm not having any luck.

If you are working in Reedsport, you will want to live there. The drive can be brutal at times.

A lot of people do the Oregon Connections Academy, which is technically a public charter school. That is your best bet, I think.

Thanks for the links, Steve. My husband is going before us, so I'm sure his co-workers will fill him in. I was afraid that there would be something wrong with the commute...although we are well experienced with extreme driving.

Silverfall--thanks for the heads-up, but we are committed homeschoolers. I don't like online schools--my niece is in one currently, but only because it was our best option for her (she graduates next December).
