I tried to copy and paste it but that didn't work
.
Portland Metro. 5 churches from 2200 members to 5000.

Westside 8 churches from 2000 to 6000 members

Salem Metro. 4 churches from 1800 to 3685 members.

Eugene Metro. 2 churches from 1800 to 3000 members.

Medford Metro. 2 churches 2100 to 3000 members.

Bend Metro one church has 2040 members.

Note this starts at 1800 members, I would call a church of 700 members a big church or even 500 members so there are many more good sized churches. Also churches have many people who attend regularly but aren't members so attendance is much higher than these numbers its easy to assume.

The top 10 religious list looks reasonable but the last 10 list looks a little off to me, especially the absence of California which I don't consider more religious than either Oregon or Washington.

There are plenty of Christians to go around, but we can always use more.

It's not a popularity poll ... it's a statistical study.

The deolaters come out of the woodwork every time a rational person posts, and start thumping everyone with their book.

As a pastor here in Oregon, the Pacific Northwest is known as being the most "unchurched" area of the country. 3 reasons are usually cited;the Northwest's independent lifestyle, less interest in religious institutions, and the scenic beauty. "Unchurched" does not mean spiritual however. Native American, Eastern, New Age and nature reverent are active. Church-goers in Oregon are down in the mainline Protestant and Catholic faiths which are not retaining the young. OTOH, evangelical churches are growing. The Pacific Northwest and New England usually top the "Nones" in polls and surveys. I don't see this changing without a large scale demographic change.

My Father-In-Law was a Pastor here in Oregon and his mantra was always that Oregon was the most un-churched state he had ever heard of, but ....... Oregon Christians are not afraid to tell you they are Christian.
